Wednesday 10 September 2008 Stacey and Lin went to play at Petersfield in the Desert Springs Classic trying to get through to the final in Spain. Alas their 30 points were not enough.
Monday 8 September 2008 The Silver County Autumn Meeting was held at Lyme Regis Golf Club with an entry of over 80. Cheryl and Roz entered. The weather was warm but rather windy so high up on this cliff top golf course which made conditions difficult and sent the CSS up to 74. Unfortunately Roz had a nightmare on the second hole and !!!!!! The two winners came in with nett 70 scores and Cheryl had a nett 71 so was third but as you can only win one prize Cheryl was awarded 2nd best nett. We both enjoyed the day and the company of our playing partners.

Thursday 11 August 2008 Cheryl won the August Tankard at Boscombe Ladies GC with a nett 70.

Thursday 24 July 2008Cheryl won The Bryan White Trophy at the annual NARPO golf society day for the best stableford points on the back 9 holes, after count back, with 19 points. The overall winner of the match did actually have 20 points but could not win two trophies. It was very pleasing as there were 3 other ladies and 36 men in the competition.

In the mixed greensomes Carol and Dave were 1st with 41points with Terri and Andy coming in 6th and out of the prizes with 40 points. Tuesday 22 April 2008 Sheila took part in the Johnstone Cup while Cheryl, Roz and Carol took part in the Silver Spring Challenge. These competitions are run by Dorset Ladies County Golf and were played at Dudsbury Golf Club this year. The weather was the best so far this year and the course was in excellent condition but it proved to be rather testing and the scores were high. The only result for our ladies was Cheryl coming 2nd in the nett competition with 77, rather pleasing as she had never played the course before.
Monday 14 April 2008 Pauline and Julie played their next round of the Daily Mail Foursomes at Parkstone and won. Well done girls. Watch this space for their next round.
